From an early age, LAYNE knew that art was more than just a passion - it was lens through which he viewed the world. His artistic journey has garnered him diverse experiences, not only in the arts but also in spending the majority of his life identifying as an athlete, which has instilled in him the discipline and dedication that he pours into every piece he creates. Through years of exploring various mediums and pushing creative boundaries, his work has resonated with audiences both near and abroad, allowing him to share his artistic voice across borders. The same enthusiasm that drives his artistic practice fuels his role as an art teacher, where he his privileged in nurturing young creative minds to discover their own artistic voices. At the heart of it all is his family, who inspire him daily and remind him that art, like love, has the power to connect us to one another, build relationships, and to transform and enrich every aspect of our lives.

Received his M.F.A. from Arizona State University, with a concentration in Painting & Drawing.
